The victim stated an unknown suspect entered his store, Discount Tobacco, and pulled out a handgun. The victim stated that the suspect then fired one round from the handgun and demanded money from the cash register. While the victim was putting money into a bag, the suspect fired another round.
The suspect is described as male subject between 5`11" to 6`02" and 180 to 210lbs. He was wearing a blue jacket/sweatshirt with a blue hood. THe sleeves had a white stripe going down the sleeve. He had on blue jeans and was wearing black tennis shoes with white on the bottom of them. He had on a black mask that covered his mouth and nose and also wore dark sunglasses.

| 8/22/2011 - Robbery 1st |
At approximately 9 PM on Monday August 22, 2011 the Frankfort Police Department received a report of a robbery at Swifty Oil located at 289 Versailles Road. The victim employee told responding officers that one perpetrator approached him and demanded cash. The suspect assaulted the victim with some sort of pipe/wrench. The offender then fled on foot behind the building.
At 1019 PM the Frankfort Police Department received a report of a robbery at the Speedy Mart located at 682 East Main Street. One perpetrator entered the store, pointed a silver handgun at the clerk and demanded cash. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. Indications are that this offender ran toward the Crestwood subdivision.
The perpetrator description for both robberies:
Black Male 5`8" - 5`10" wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and some type of dark mask and dark pants and blue latex gloves.
This is also the description of the suspect that robbed Speedy Mart of an undetermined amount of cash on Wednesday, August 17, 2011.

| 8/18/2011 - Murder Indictment |
On August 18, 2011 the Franklin County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging 38 year-old Marquis A. Sims, of Detroit Michigan, with Murder for intentionally causing the death of Obie Murphy on September 13, 2010.
On September 15, 2010, the Frankfort Police had obtained an arrest warrant for 44 year-old Frank Robert Witkowski on the charge of Complicity to Commit Murder in the death of Murphy. Witkowski was taken into custody in Detroit by the United States Marshal`s Service on October 25, 2010, and subsequently returned to Frankfort where he was lodged in the Franklin County Regional Jail.
On July 25, 2011 Franklin Circuit Court issued an arrest warrant for Witkowski for Failure to Appear for sentencing in this crime and he is currently considered a fugitive.
Sims, also a fugitive, is a black male with a Detroit Michigan address.

Speedy Mart employee at 711 East Main St. report that an unknown black male entered into the store and brandished a silver semi-automatic pistol and demanded that he give him the money. The subject had a black hood pulled over his head and had some sort of cloth covering the bridge of his nose. The subject left the store with an undetermined amount of cash.

| The ATM machine that belonged to Citizens Commerce Bank at Sea Hero Rd. was taken. A backhoe was used to remove the ATM and it was then loaded onto a truck and hauled away.

| 1/7/2011 - Robbery 1st degree Speedy Mart Holmes Street |
On Friday January 7th 2011, the Frankfort Police Department responded to a robbery of Speedymart located at 147 Holmes Street in Frankfort Kentucky. Upon police arrival at Speedymart, store personal advised that two men entered the store and demanded money. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The armed suspect fired the weapon and the unarmed suspect took an undetermined amount of money from the register. The two suspect then fled the scene.

| The City of Frankfort Street Department had several items stolen from a work building located at the city maintenance building located off of US 421 North. The thieves pulled into the barn area and hooked up to a work trailer that contained several lawnmowers, weedeaters, and leaf blowers. They then drove away with the trailer and equipment.

| 9/24/2010 - Robbery, 1st Degree |
On Friday September 24th 2010, Frankfort Police responded to a Robbery of Whitaker Bank located at 1305 Lawrenceburg Road in Frankfort Kentucky. An unknown white male entered the bank and displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash. The teller complied and the suspect left with an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect is described as a white male who stood approximately 6 feet tall and weighed about 180 lbs. He had black hair and a black trimmed mustache and was wearing blue pants and a tan jacket. He also had on a black ball cap and was wearing gloves.

| 9/13/2010 - Murder 176 Thistlewood Avenue |
On Monday, September 13, 2010 at approximately 1:12 pm the Frankfort Police received a call of a shooting at 176 Thistlewood Avenue in Frankfort Kentucky.
Responding officers discovered two people with gunshot wounds in the apartment area.
One of the victims is 40 year old Odie Murphy and he was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he died. The other victim is 53 year old Gregory Bell and he was taken to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A white van with Michigan License Plate is believed to be involved in this incident. Anyone with information about this can contact Detective Jeff Fogg of the Frankfort Police Department at (502) 352-2053.

| 7/17/2010 - Murder-VFW 104 East Second Street |
On Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 12:39 am, Frankfort Police received a call of a shooting from the VFW located at 104 East Second Street.
Responding officers discovered a black male victim, suffering from a gun shot wound, lying in the street near the intersection of East Second Street and Capital Avenue.
The victim was transported by EMS to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
